The top new head voices of 2013

bjornwildeI usually don't go for top ten lists as the end of the year is always my birthday and all the lists seem to feature things from the last 6 months anyway, but I've been wanting to do a write up of my current off stage head voices so here we go.
Jafar: I love Jafar. I love his particular style and evil. I'm just not sure if he is a push head voice or a pull, i.e. does he have his own drive? I love the idea of having a bad guy but he only seems strong when I watch the series. I do think I know how he ticks though. Despite canon being vague as to what he really wants to do, all they've said is "change the laws of magic" and gain power, I think he wants to be safe. I think he is ultimately protecting himself.
Looking at his childhood, his mother died when he was very young. She sent him to the Sultan who is his father, to be cared for but within a very short span of time, the Sultan drowns him in a washing basin and leaves him for dead. Then he's a coal boy for a black smith who treats him poorly. All his life, up to this point, he has been powerless. Then he meets a dark enchantress and throws caution to the wind to become her apprentice. He falls back on his childhood experiences and learns to become ruthless and powerful.
Yang: I love Yang and her world. I love how ruthlessly cheerful she is and how bad ass as well. Not much to canon though so the potential of painting myself in a corner that conflicts with canon is HUGE. I do like the idea of playing her a few years before canon, when she ran on the streets with a bike gang (my head canon).
Dorian: Wow this series has sucked me in and I am very curious about Dorian's past. I have a few head canon ideas but I'm keeping them close to my chest. I love the hint of Blade Runner in playing an android that has programmed emotions and sass.
George Bailey: With the fourth book coming out in a couple of weeks, I am finding my bargain Super Man's voice waking again. I love him as his whole reason for becoming a super hero was due to Dr. Who, because the Doctor always fought for hope. Plus zombies and his power set is very much a human dragon.
Nolan: Damn me if this guy *still* isn't hanging around and with the second season coming in a few months, I can only expect him to get stronger. I am very curious as to where they are going to go with the series after the end of season one..
I am going to be smart though and keep all of these guys in the sandboxes. I only have one slot open and all of my current pups seem like they still want me to tell their stories.
