bjornwildeSo I’ve been kicking around ideas for a redesign of Jessica Drew’s Spider-Woman costume for a while but seeing this quote by Michael Walsh:

, that itch became too much and I banged out a few designs. Unfortunately my drawing skills are not such that I can bang out something in a few minutes and have it look good, so I used a template I found from a google search (which I can’t seem to find now to give proper credit. Crap.)
Anyway, here she is with three different takes
She is part of a black ops Avengers team, and so I like the idea of her costume being updated with new tech.
1-It's now treated (or made) with the unstable molecules used in the Future Foundation suits so she can change the tone of her costume's colors to hide in different conditions. Not true camouflage, just enough to break up her costume's bright colors.
2-Her wings are now using Falcon's tech (from the comics, which are now solid light or something equally comic book science) and can change in size so she can glide or use true flight. The wings also are not always on and when active, they resemble the wing suits we have in our world. The black lines in the costumes above are meant to being part of the tech.
3-She now carries pellets which contain different gases. She is immune to poisons so, tactically, she's perfect for using smoke bombs or sleep gas. I had thought of an air gun but she doesn't seem like a gun person so they're more like the hand bombs ninjas use.
4-She cuts her hair short. This is to help distinguish her from Black Widow as well as updating her look.
Honestly, I'd love to make a more tactical ninja look but red and yellow just aren't good stealth colors. Well, red can be since it is tonally similar to black or dark gray but not yellow. Curse you super hero comics.
