Funny thoughts

bjornwilde Random thoughts I've had about two pups, behind a cut cause I might get rambley and there could be spoilers for Brimstone's canon.
First, the easy and quick though, Sam Wilson is feeling very protective of William Evans. Taking a look at what I know about William, my Sam is plotting all these plans to try and educate and take care of him. Things like leaving books for him to read but not being obvious by having those books be text books.
Secondly, I've been thinking a lot on Brimstone since I am listening to the last book in his canon. He is actually dead by this point but events that happened while he was alive seem like they might be coming to light, such as the events that maybe lead to the Chimera revolt. Which sparked an odd revelation to his character.
I had always assumed he was asexual, with him having never given me any indication of whom he loved or was attracted to. He loves Karou and Issa but it is more daughter and sister/wife (respectively) than sexual attraction. Then a stray thought of him being attracted to and possibly loving The Warlord (who is never given a true name just the tittle and was the military and political leader of the chimera) occurred and it just made sense.
Which again is odd as I've never had a gay character before. Well, a male character who expressed interest or fondness for another male. I've had plenty of lesbian pups but I've never had a gay or male bisexual pup before, that I saw anyway. Not that I wasn't open to the pup being that way. I guess I don't see men as attractive (beyond ascetics) and so never thought of it.
And a final disclaimer, I don't mean this post as a "look at me, so forward thinking" type post. I don't mean that with this. I'm just noting a shift for myself and Brimstone incase anything becomes of it.
