bjornwildeMagical Girl Apocalypse: Not too sure about this one. I read it as I had seen somewhere that it was a deconstruction of the Magical Girl genre but I read it more as author doesn't like the Magical Girl genre and so turns them into evil demons for the protagonists to deal with". It's also shonen (thus aimed as teen boys). Doubt I will bother with the second volume, though maybe things are explained in the second volume? It really reads as Johnny the Homicidal Maniac as magic girl, if the pov was Johnny's victims.
Lumberjanes: Okay, I've read most of the first volume before and loved it. Stopped reading as comics budget was too bloated. Got the second volume today from the library and this is AWESOME. Read it.
Cowboy Bebop: Watched the first episode last night and LOVED it. Will definitely be continuing. Love the jazz, wild west, 60s gangster, scifi mashup.
I also got the second volume of Strangers in Paradise and The Magician King. I wanted to give the Magician books another try since the TV series has been so good and I decided to get the book rather than the audio book so I can hear the TV cast as I read the book.
