Half alseep? I don't think so!
Apr. 28th, 2005 10:54 amSo I am actually being creative and for once I don't think it will stay in my head.
What I have been doing is making a Steampunk/Fantasy RPG. Mostly from scratch but with influence from several rpgs I have played in the past. It started as changing the system for the RPG Victoriana who's game mechanics I didn't really like. It started with their magic system, I didn't like it. It was too bare bones, like an after thought, and I wanted magic to have more of a presence in my world and then I decided I didn't like the game mechanics themselves. From there it has just spiraled into it's own thing with little left over from the original game.
The idea that I could make this into something I can publish came from Perki who said I should publish it. I had been bouncing my ideas off him and he was quite impressed.
So yah, if you would like to see the game as it developes and make suggestions or give opinions you are welcome to join a yahoo group I made with the original intention of using it for planning for the table top game it all begain with. It's here, Terra Obscura.
Now I just need to finish it and have
madampcover for pie and BBQ or some such and pick her brain about copy write issues. Or whatever price she wants for the consultation.
In other news, my job rocks! I am finally busy and while the work is basic, it varies enough to keep me interested.
