 Out of XM: Apocalypse and I think that might have been the best one yet. More later, we're going out for dinner, but I don't think I will trust another film review from someone who gets paid to do it.

You ever get the feeling that the critics want every single comic book movie to be accessible to complete newcomers from the very start, despite just how much exposition and explanation that would bog everything down with?

Also, see why Peter got my attention?

Definitely! I love that he still has fun with his powers, even when saving an entire mansion of people. I also loved that his deciding to get involved was so understated. He didn't feel the need to make grad declaration after an emotional event.

And what's weird about the reviews I read is that they were from comic book sites! Or at least geek sites.

ETA: And I do feel like this movie was accessible if you hadn't seen the first two. Yes, events were mentioned that occurred in the first movie, but I feel like you didn't need to have seen it to get the plot points.

I'm about to post my more detailed thoughts on the movie, so more over there. =)

I'm looking forward to seeing it though Civil War is first on my list of to see movies. I just haven't had the time but I'm glad that there's good stuff in this one.

This was the Charles we expected to see in Days of Future Past. He was so awesome, though I didn't see much character growth with him. He was very spot on though!

And if you are like me, you will laugh at why he lost his hair. ; p

Oh nice, well as a character once he hits a certain point, he helps other people grow. I'm glad there are things to look forward to and use in our slow crawl through canon and into lands of AU.
