bjornwilde Sorry for being radio silent*, I've been spending time with the fam and just kind of in my own head at other times. Been reading and enjoying new things. Starting reading Star Wars: Aftermath, with is great but it made me want to reread Dark Disciple, so I took a break and am reading DD. DD is good but it really is Quinlan Vos' book when I had wanted an Asajj book.
I'm also watched the first Dr. Who episode with Maisie Williams. I mean to watch all four episodes of her character's journey. Very curious about her. ETA: Onto the last episode now and while I am glad I watched these, I wish the character had more going on than the immortality and sort of blank slate each time the doctor meets her. The idea of infinite life but finite memory doesn't work for me, especially since she's keeping journals to help her remember. The losing her humanity is sketchy also. Like I can see it working once, but it's repeated too quickly.
In reading DD, my Asajj head voice is squirming and such. I think I need to try and get her into a sandbox. (I fear she may replace Ahsoka, not because I don't love Ahsoka but because Ahsoka has been so quiet.)
I do need to get back to threads but just haven't had the energy.
Also started watching Mr. Robot and am very curious about the story. It's very mind-warpy and Philip K Dick, my favorite style of sci fi, though this show seems more current time or maybe near future. Not sure as I've only watched the first episode.
Tomorrow I go into work as Court is out of session until Tuesday. I hope this means I will get tagging in and move some threads forward. I particularly want to pursue the Hank w/ X and Santo as well as Touji w/ Quentin and Yamato.
Finished the first three TPB of Gail Simon's Red Sonja. So nice to see one of my favorite characters being done right.
And lastly, I was in a car accident last night. Nothing major. I was waiting at a red light. When the light turned green, I stayed put as the cars ahead of me hadn't moved yet but the guy behind me decided green meant go and rear ended me. Not major damage, I suspect he was stopped and had just tapped the accelerator, and no injures (though a friend is worried about her neck and I am a little stiff today (this could be from sleeping 10 hours though)). Fun times.
*What is the new version of this phrase? Offline? Blackout? Text-less?
