bjornwildeOK, more Amelia notes. I guess I blasted past all these details the first time I read her book.
She was born sometime around 1,000 ad as she knew some of the mages before the magical drought, which happened 1,000 years before the present time (2096ad), I'm taking off time for her to grow into an adult dragon. She could've met mages when she was younger, but for her to learn magic and be on an equal footing with them, I'm aging her up.
She's been off plane for 50 years, so 2046. I'm going to head canon that she ran from her clan somewhere around 1,400 when the Spanish invaded the Mexican peninsula, and has been popping in and out of the prime material since.
Going with this as she left because her mother assassinated her grandfather, Quetzalcoatl, and I can't see him putting up with humans ruining his perfectly good civilization. Amelia's mom on the other hand, I can see using the Spanish to booth her own power.
Then again, I've already written her having run from her clan. At least I thin so. I'll have to reread the OOMs I've got. Or just do the Marvel thing and ignore continuity. ; p
