A mostly relaxing day today. House chores haven't gotten done so tomorrow is going to be busy, but it's nice to have chilled.
I'm really loving Dzur and the narration for the audiobook does a good job. Not perfect, as I always "heard" Vlad with a slavic accent of some sort and this fellow sounds very American, but he does at least give Loiosha Spanish seeming accent. On second thought, he sounds more like Peter Lorre, which has me cracking up. I'm honestly not that well traveled, so I am basing the accent on Hollywood, which I know isn't the best.
Also, look at this face. I can almost see Vlad there, even if Viggo Mortensen is half Danish and not Slavic.
I am very close to not playing Avengers Academy again. I think the only thing holding me back is my having spent money to get Jessica Drew and Valkyrie. The game just isn't fun. They keep hitting you with special events which you cant get very far in without spending money and prevent you from the main story, which admittedly is barely there. Much like the many crossovers the comics keep pushing, that have ended up pushing me out of reading them. I also am not a fan of the fact they keep throwing characters at you and you end up with so many that don't do anything. Like I have something like 40+ characters (which take up processor time since they are walking around "on campus") and yet at any given time I can only assign tasks for around 20 characters. If I could have the extras doing things like earning more coins for me, that'd be great, but they can't. Grump over.
I swear there was more I was going to say but the birds are screaming and I've lost my train of thought.

Date: 2017-12-11 04:48 pm (UTC)I am so loving Dzur and seeing Vlad try and solve the thing without his network! I'm almost done, with a couple hours left, so I think I'm nearing the climax. Good thing I already have Jhegaala queued up.
As to Loiosh's accent, I always assumed there was one, simply because his use of "Boss" made me think old mofiaso films.

Glad to hear you're continuing to enjoy Dzur! I did miss seeing Vlad interact with his "network" in it (it was a looong time between Issola and Dzur), but it is definitely always interesting to see Vlad have to navigate out of a tough situation without his usual resources (Jhegaala is like that, too, of course, being set in the East).
