bjornwildeSince I've seen a couple of people doing this and it'd be nice to talk about something either than my canon de jour or life challenges, I decided to give it a swing.
Day 02 - Share a fandom memory
Oh man....umm....geeking out about the meta and characterization of Danny Rand in the Netflix Iron Fist with my oldest friend at work.
Some of my old Ben Grimm threads in Milliways when it was at LJ. I still love that all to short one with Ben, Jennifer Walters, Clint Barton, and Hercules.
The amazing SW muns currently at Milliways are the most recent fandom memory and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Day 03 - Post at least three recs for fan works you did not create.
I am a horrible fan who does read fan fiction. Truth bomb, but I am a slow reader, so I am selective with what I read. That being said, I know I have some works bookmarked on AO3, so I will look them up and see if I feel like posting them in a comment later.
Oh wait, would a fan vid count? Cause this cut of SW clips with Black Sabbath's War Pigs is fucking amazing. And now I am thinking of all these amazing fan vids and I don't have time to find the links as I'm leaving work in five minutes.

Why do more people not know of this series?

Date: 2018-01-08 06:58 pm (UTC)Ahaha! (It did take me 2.5 years of doing Snowflake before I decided to take that next step, but it's definitely been an added level of fun -- and has resulted in some obscure crossover fic for me that I'm pretty sure never would've existed otherwise :))
Why do more people not know of this series?
I don't know! I mean, people do seem to know about it, but not be fannish about it? At least not online?
The really sad thing is, there are "blips" -- people who are obsessed with Vlad/Dragaera who surface on LJ, post furiously about their headcanons, lament the fact that there's no fandom, and eventually disappear. I came across a handful of those when I was at the height of my own obsession and literally going through every instance of "Dragaera" that LJ and DW search results could dig up for me -- but by the time I found them, those people had disappeared off the platform.
So, it's been really great finding you (and another person, who's since seems to have disappeared off LJ, alas...) going through the series real-time. :)
