Ack I say!

I actually pushed myself out of my comfort zone at lunch and went to a Toastmasters meeting, which I mean to continue with. It was fine, no one was there with pitchforks and torches but I still was nervous and anxious as hell. Not eating before hand didn't help matter, neither did running to another meeting right after, but I did it!

Now I'm trying to ground out and chill with some surf guitar but I keep having bouts of nervousness.

Onto other things....an update to my review of Pathfinder, now that I've read more volumes of the comic. It is still fun, but in a very pulpy way. One thing I do not like though is how after each story arc they always do the cut scene to the more scary villain the heroes didn't know about, or that their actions unleashed, and yet the villain is never seen again. I know comics and pulps love this trope, but that villain usually will show up in the next story arc or the one after. So far, nothing and it's make me wonder what the point of the bigger, badder villain reveal is. Still goofy fun.

I started The Palace job which is fun so far. Sort of Enchanted Forest Chronicles or Princeless as a heist story.

I read The Palace Job and the two sequels last year and had a lot of fun with them. They are totally ridiculous books, but somehow it worked for me -- refuge in audacity, I guess, with the zaniness carrying it off.

I hope Toastmasters is a good thing and its great that you went. First meetings are always so hard. The Palace Job is a wonderful title. Who's the author?

It is, let me know if I can help. Public speaking is something that I've never had a problem with. I learned most of it through the theater and some public speaking during school. Thanks for the link. Its always nice to find some light reading.
