I've thinking about the intel from one of the Russo bros. that Valkyrie (still wish she'd get an actual name) is still alive as are some of the Asgardians, and my brain keeps imaging what dialog had to have happened for her to leave Thor behind and run for the lifeboats with the civilians and my emotions...

I see people grumping at Peter Quill and Thor failing to stop Thanos. Quill I get, he's an emotional person, so as foolish as it was for him to taunt Thanos, it was in character. Thor thinking he had the killing axe and could afford a heart strike instead of a head...ok. I can see that. But how about instead of aiming for the heart, he cuts off Thanos' arm? That'd be the fastest way to remove the gauntlet and would be very emotionally satisfying I would think.

And while I am at it, I am not happy that Sam didn't get any final words. Not happy at all. I am heart broken that he died on the ground, his flight stolen from him again and failing Cap.

My problem isn't that Quill failed to stop Thanos, but that he actively sabotaged the efforts of others to do so, and that it was another outgrowth of the incredibly blatant fridging of Gamora :\

A friend of mine pointed out that Thor went for a heart strike instead of a decapitation or a Star Wars move because Heimdall was stabbed through the chest and it was a move-for-move vengeance. For whatever that's worth.
