I am very much thinking of going to the Families Belong Together protest in my city tomorrow. I've never actually been to a protest, preferring to do my protesting in the voting booth, but I am feeling the need to do something.

Not sure of a sign though...do I have to have one?

You definitely don't have to have a sign! It's not at all a requirement, plenty of people also won't have them.

You don't need to! I like to have a sign because it makes me feel like more visibly part of the protest if I can angrily hold a sign over my head, but plenty of people come without signs. You can totally go without one.

Just thirding that you don't need to bring a sign, other people will have them and also be giving them away and selling them.
