Adventures in early office emails

About half an hour ago I sent an email to my department inviting them to the bull pen (the area I work, think West Wing with less witty dialog and more key clacking) for chips and salsa.

One problem though, I sent it to the entire Alameda campus. That is four buildings and hundreds of employees.

I have learned there are a lot of people out of office...I would estimate close to 60...now wait maybe we're getting close to 75 now.

A while ago I commented to laragoth that the costuming she has done is inspirational to me for making costumes for meh wee one. I mentioned that I had made a costume already and she asked for me to post a picture of it; so here we are.

The costume I made is Polly from Polly and the Pirates by tednaifeh, an old friend of mine. The way it came about was that a friend's daughter was having a pirate themed birthday and of course my daughter can't just go in store bought right?
