bjornwildeJust got back from trying to whore myself...err, I mean find an late/overnight shift so I can bring in enough income to cover my student loan payments and Katie's child care.
First three targets; Kinkos, Walegreens, Safeway. First three feelings of rejection: Kinkos, Walgreens, Safeway. Felt like I was in high school all over again. Work is work I know and we need the money, but it feels like I have been demoted or something. How egotistical is that?
Kinkos and Walgreens want you to apply online. I left resumes with the managers anyway and by the body language and tone of voice, I am sure the resumes will end up in the "g" file.
Safeway wouldn't even take my resume. They wanted to me to fill out their application. Which they happened to be out of; so come back later or go to another one and get an application from them.
Now, do I stuff the online "ballot boxes" at Kinkos and Walgreens? Would that seem too obnoxious or annoying?
I did finish my shopping for the day and even have $ left over. And that was with buying rice cerel for Katie which wasn't in the original plan, Even got myself a soda. Maybe I'm not so bad with the $ thing if I pay attention.
I was also good and didn't hit Jack in teh Box or Ice Cream dispite the Blah.
