Having XMFC feels as well as being far too curious about Blink and so trolling the #dofp tag on Tumblr. Looks like the scene with Hank fighting Erik happens because Erik tried to shoot Raven and Hank is defending her. My feels.

My resolve in not seeing this movie may not last. At least it's past opening weekend.

Yeah, I do want to see it. There's a fascinating article on Tor about it that makes me a little hopeful. I think the biggest trouble is somehow putting all the meta and expectation out of my mind to just get into it.

I really wish they hadn't hyped it as much as they did, because for me, now its all in the way and its created great conversation. I don't know, I wish you or another Milliways' person were here to see it with so we can go oh yes and gets why I feel weird about this.

I agree on all counts and will have to look up that Tor article.

I have a few tenuous ideas for Hank and the things I've heard happened in the film but would love bouncing ideas off you once we've seen it. I might be seeing it the weekend of June 17 as I might be home alone during the day.

There are two good ones up about it, one that's not too spoilery and the current one which is spoilery about Charles' journey in the movie. It made me kind of hopeful but one reason I liked XMFC was I didn't know what to expect and it went above.

I'm also just feeling tired and stressed which doesn't help and I'm taking Ivan through canon and his EPs get forgotten. Sorry, having a weird week.

I'm having an odd week as well. I keep thinking of plots and EPs for pups but the either the words aren't there, I get busy or I get shy. Maybe I should write some fix to get things moving.

Fic is good, I've written some the past week that wasn't really about anything in my thoughts and worked.

If you want something light, Ivan's EP is open, his canon is fun and sort of weird.

I'll see who's available tomorrow, perhaps Mulan since I keep thinking she's being ignored.

Speaking of, I sort of have a idea of the Wicked Witch cursing Mulan out of the Enchanted Forest forcing her to other lands where she tries to find ways back. One of these lands I'm entertaining is Narnia. Not sure if you feel like doing anything with Tumnus but it's there if so.

Ooh, I'd love that and it could be interesting. He's fun to play but its hard to have plot for him.

Whoever works, I think he and Mulan would get along, in their own ways, they're both career soldiers.

Cool. I'll sit down and try to write out my thoughts for Mulan's travel plot.

And I just read one of the Tor articles, the one about Charles learning to trust women? It was interesting but I think it missed the mark a bit. Going by the movies and not so much your Charles, I think he simply thinks he knows best with anyone and not just women. I am very curious about the film now. I know we will go our own AU route, I know Hank at least will need some reworking, but I like the hints of what I've read about the film.

Yes, that sort of made me hopeful and part of what makes Charles, Charles is he's compassionate and arrogant. I keep sort of blinking at the serum that dampens his power, I just can't think of Charles without his telepathy. That seems like a major misunderstanding of his character. I think whenever I see I'm going to come out loving moments but mixed.

Too much stuff about the movie and I know my Charles isn't exactly that Charles anymore and probably won't be. I know I'm thinking too much about this movie but that happens when you care about a fandom.

Well one thing I read somewhere, was that Charles was losing control of his telepathy after losing the students and it was nearly driving him insane. Don't know how true that is to the movie but it could be an angle.

Maybe the serum was first used to hopefully give him control again and it didn't work out the way it was meant to?
