bjornwilde Nutty day at work and I've not even touched the side project which is expected to be done Friday by end of day. ARRRR
Listening to Bridge to Terabithia and enjoying it. It has a good snap shot of rural kids being kids, though the fat shaming could be turned down. Only about a third of the way through.
And lastly, since i feel a need to get something creative out, some notes for my Avengers Neverland AU.
So I am thinking Sam arrives in Neverland with few memories. Not sure if he'll be a 10 year old kid that shows up or if he showed up younger and has been on his own until present. He can also understand birds and of course makes friends with a falcon.
With him will be a girl who is really a star, ala Stardust. She will be Monica Rambeau.
They are found by the new Lost Boys, The Spider sisters (Natasha and Jessica), Hulk (Jennifer Walters), and Marvel (Carol Danvers). Sam will look asquence and maybe ask why they are Lost Boys when they are obviously girls, and Natasha will explain about first lost boys.
The Spider Sisters go by Widow and Arachne. Widow is a dancer and Arachne is an acrobat. Widow is more matter of fact and pragmatic, while Arachne is playful and prone to grumping. It is unclear if they are actually sisters or not. Widow is the leader and clashes with Marvel some times.
Hulk is into messes and sports and physical things. She likes testing her strength.
Marvel love leaping and moving fast. She is the only flyer as pixie dust is picky. Or maybe she has the strongest happy thoughts of the group. She and Hulk wrestle a lot.
Sam becomes Falcon and Monica becomes Photon once they are accepted into the Lost Boys. They both also prove to be flyers, though I'm tempted to make Photon only be able to fly as light and thus not be able to pick anyone up.
Antagonist will be Ultron and he has a mechanized army that is invading Neverland. Yes, mechanized armies seem more Oz than Neverland, but I can't think of any better villain. This could change. Wrecking Crew as pirates could work but I want to play with something different rather than rehash the usual.
