 I think I need to give romance stories a more honest chance. I've been reading Nothing To Lose by Claire Lydon, and while it's not perfect and some of the author's writing style bugs me, I am loving the romantic tension! 

Oh, and I've found a couple of nice resources for queer books...Lesbary and QueerBooksForTeens.

I think once I finish Nothing to Lose and Santa Olivia (next read I've already borrowed), I'll look for a mystery book to read.

I will keep that in mind. I think what I am really liking about this story is that the romance is between two women and the focus is on the romance, rather then the heavy petting, like I seem to come across in so many other books. The author took the time to show emotional attraction and connection long before the hot and heavy hit and that made all the difference for me.
